Jaybiking

I was watching Seinfeld the other day. That episode where they order Chinese food and Elaine runs into the delivery guy cause she was jaywalking. Jaywalking is when you cross the street when the sign is on "don't walk".

Well it seems that this city is plagued by jaybikers. They run red lights and don't care. Even when is your right to walk, they don't stop and you have to get out of the way. Once they told me to "get the F$&@ out of the way", while it was my time to walk it was a red light.

Don't they have to get a license for biking. The rules do not apply to them?

What pisses me off is that they think they have the right of way, ahead of cars and pedestrians. When there is an accident and it's their fault, they blame it on pedestrians and the cars. Most of the time accidents occur when the run a red light.

Instead of the city charging high sales taxes, and other absurd things like the parking-mob. (You get a ticket for every little thing). They should legalize the use of bikes. Charge a license fee and bike insurance. Get them license plates either for the bikes, or to wear on their backs. I have seen this in other countries but for motorbikes, and it works.

C'mon Mayor you have to think outside the box.
